Terms of Service

1. About the platform

Yamjoy provides technology that connects customers with participating restaurants and delivery partners. Yamjoy does not itself prepare meals unless a service is expressly identified as being supplied directly by Yamjoy.

For restaurant orders, the restaurant is responsible for the preparation, description, availability and food quality of the items it supplies. The delivery party responsible for fulfilment may be Yamjoy, a restaurant, or an independent courier depending on the order.

2. Accounts

You must provide accurate information and keep your account secure. Verification codes, PINs and credentials must not be shared with another person. Yamjoy may restrict or suspend an account where reasonably necessary to protect users, investigate fraud, enforce these terms or comply with law.

3. Orders and prices

Restaurants control their menu items, availability and prices unless otherwise stated. Delivery charges, service fees, taxes and other applicable charges are shown before confirmation where required.

An order may be rejected or cancelled where an item is unavailable, a restaurant cannot fulfil it, payment fails, fraud or abuse is suspected, or operational or safety conditions prevent fulfilment.

4. User responsibilities

You must provide a delivery address that is accurate, accessible and safe, remain reasonably reachable during fulfilment, and use Yamjoy only for lawful purposes. You must treat restaurant staff, couriers, support teams and other users respectfully.

5. Age and legal capacity

You must have legal capacity to enter into these terms in your country. If you are below that age, you may use Yamjoy only with appropriate parent or guardian involvement where permitted by law. Age-restricted goods, if ever offered, may be purchased or received only where lawful and after any required age verification.

6. Payments

You authorise Yamjoy and its payment partners to process the charges presented at checkout. Payment availability and settlement timing can vary by country, provider and payment method.

7. Liability

Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded. To the extent permitted by law, each party remains responsible for loss caused by its own breach, negligence, unlawful conduct or other legal responsibility.

Restaurant partners remain responsible for food preparation, product accuracy and food-safety obligations. Couriers remain responsible for the care and conduct required of them during accepted delivery work.

8. Disputes and governing law

Yamjoy encourages users to contact support first so that an issue can be reviewed promptly. Any dispute-resolution process, governing law or arbitration requirement will apply only to the extent valid and enforceable under the law applicable to the user and the relevant transaction.

For services contracted in Kenya, Kenyan law will generally govern unless mandatory consumer law or another applicable rule requires otherwise.
